Exeter (2015)

Genre: Horror Thriller

This movie is under rated in my opinion, at least if you go by the IMDB rating.  And it has some great names involved like Marcus Nispel (Texas Chainsaw Massacre and 2009’s Friday the 13th) and Kelly Blatz (Prom Night and From Within).

Right out of the gate you get blood, tits, and gore with a suicide (the makings of a great horror movie; and of course METAL)!  Instantly you are thinking what is going on?  Why did this person take their life in a moment you thought was leading up to a party or sex scene?  But you don’t find out why this person took their life until the end of the movie.

One thing I really enjoyed about this movie is the twists and turns the plot took throughout the story telling process!  Usually I find movies extremely predictable (maybe because I watch too many) but this one had enough variety it was refreshing.  And I didn’t see the ending coming at all!  My hat goes off to the writer of this movie Kirsten McCallion.

Most of the gore was amazing but some could have been done better.  I won’t lie on that aspect.  Also, all the actors did a great job in this movie!  My only real complaint is the make up when the characters were possessed, I just didn’t feel for it.

Remember this Halloween season not to party in abandoned asylums or let yourself get possessed by demons.  😉

Is this a drinking movie?  I think you could enjoy it sober or drunk!  No need to make a drinking game out of it since it is an enjoyable horror movie.
