Monster High is my guilty pleasure. Such a guilty pleasure I have over 100 of the dolls. I have seen every episode and every movie. So I decided it’s time I review one of the movies! In fact I am going to work on reviewing each movie and ranking them in the order that I like them from best to worst.
Why do I love this show? I love horror movies, no surprise if you have followed my blog before, and this series is a perfect blend of monsters and creatures for the classics horror movies with a modern twist. Each character in this series is child of some already established monster (i.e. Frankenstein, the Mummy, the Werewolf, etc). If you are into fairy tales there is also a series called Ever After High taking this idea into the fairy tale world. Monster High reached to the horror geek and fashionista inside of me. I will never deny I have that I have used my dolls for make up inspiration in the past!
I love this series’ ideology of empowering ourselves and accepting everyone’s differences. Another great aspect of this show in general are the phrases it develops like “clawsome”, “fangtastic”, “voltagious”, or “ghoulfriend”. Or cleaver names like “Boo York”, “Scaris”, or “Great Scarrie Reef”. Each movie and episode has some knew cute phrase in it. I love the fun colors and designs the creators of this show come up with. Not to mention the great dolls that they come out with! I could do a whole different blog or section of this blog on this topic. The colors and stories just make me happy! And if something makes you happy I say embrace it! So embrace Monster High with me and learn to accept the differences of those around you and more importantly yourself. “Freaky flaws and all!”
