Visions (2015)
Genre: Horror, Mystery, Thriller, 31 Days of Horror 2016
Rated:R
Duration: 82 minutes
This movie has an excellent cast! Isla Fisher and Jim Parsons among them!
The first thing I will say is this movie is predictable. Extremely predicable. I figured out the traditional plot twist that happens in the thrillers like 10 minutes before the reveal. I am sure you will too!
The movie open ups that a tragic event happened and the main character is scared for life from it. As a result of a car accident she killed an infant. Fast forward one year later guess who is trying to move on with her life and is pregnant! I have never been pregnant so I may be biased on this opinion but the character seemed overly obsessive about this. Given her traumatic event that makes sense but still it seemed over the top with poor dialogue. Besides the predictability that is my only other real complaint about the movie.
We spend a majority of the movie trying to figure out if the main character is crazy, the new house is haunted, or if she is having PTSD episodes. Spoiler, she isn’t crazy but you are probably already assuming that.
Unlike the other movies I have watched so far I did not feel like this movie ended abruptly. I really appreciate the film makers for this.
