Rated: PG-13
Duration: 88 minutes
Within 30 seconds of starting this movie I realized I have seen it before. But that was when it was in theaters. I recalled it being good and since it has been so long since I watched it I decided it was worth keeping on this years list.
This movies excelled at casting in every way shape and form. Normally I don’t like child actors in horror movies but the casting director found his/her talent! I can’t decided who I liked more Atticus Shaffer or Ethan Cutkosky. Both amazing in their roles. The rest of the cast was amazing as well!
Excellent effects, excellent story! Excellent use of scare tactics! Excellent level of suspense and intrigue! There are some creepy moments through out the movie with great horror imagery. And there was great use of cultural lore in the plot. I love movies with demon lore personally!
Amazon has an unrated cut I may rent. Or even purchase with how great this movie is. In other words I highly recommend this movie and would watch it a 3rd or 4th time easily!
IMDB: 4.8 out of 10 at time of review.
Amazon: Unrated cut available for rental and purchase streaming. (The version reviewed above is the theatrical release).

Mala’s Review: 5 out of 5
