Duration: 77 minutes
To begin with, this is done by the same producer of Sinister (which I recommend) and Paranormal Activities (a movie that I do not personally like. I am prepared for hate to come my way for this but those movies are terrible. Boring, ridiculous, and I don’t understand how it has been made into sequels!) Based off of previous experience this movie could go one of two ways and it instantly feels like it is going the Paranormal Activity route with two characters filming as a sort of diary because one of them has a terminal brain tumor and wants to document what he is like for his unborn child to see later. This could be a spoiler, but at the same time is a big plot progression point, there is no cancer and this is a ploy to torment and mess with the other character.
This movie is super boring during the first chunk as the main character constantly being a dick-weed and trying to scare the other guy when he least expects it. About 30 minutes into the movie deep dark secrets come out and you hope that it gets better. But it doesn’t as the dick-weed hides the other character’s car keys to get him to stay when he doesn’t want to anymore.
Overall, there are only three characters in this movie. They do a great acting job and the writing does make the dark character pretty creepy. I wouldn’t watch this movie again and not so sure I recommend it with how slow it is. To be honest I didn’t watch the last 20 minutes ’cause I just wasn’t feeling this movie at all.
